On Saturday night at the Coventry Skydome, Widnes Wild fought back from a 1- 0 deficit to beat Coventry Blaze 7 - 3.
This was the first time that Wild have won in Coventry and was hard won against last season's third placed team.
After a goalless 1st period, the home side took the lead just 2 minutes into the second period with a opportunist score from Arthur Brookes.
It took the visitors, seven minutes to equalise through Lee Pollitt.
Within five minutes, Wild were 3 -1 ahead with two further goals from import star Filip Supa. The home side pulled a goal back from Philip Mulcahy.
The final period saw the home side draw level at 42.56 on the powerplay, with a second from Mulcahy.
Within a minute Filip Supa put the visitors back in the lead .
Further goals from Ben Brown, a fourth from Supa and a final score from Sam Dunford saw Wild home to a comfortable victory.
Lee Pollitt took the MVP for another all action display.Following from the convincing win in Bradford it emphasised the steady improvement within the squad.
