Warrington claimed a well earned victory in this derby North One West fixture.
After their heroics the previous week away at Wigton, the home side looked well out of sorts for the majority of this game and were outgunned and out-enthused in equal measure by their opponents.
Indeed, they were never in front on the scoreboard, and were always chasing the game despite being level at the break with tries from Sheldon Johnson and Paul O’Connor and two conversions from Kevin Leadbetter.
Both players and coaches will be hoping for better things this weekend, when they take on Kirkby Lonsdale at Heath Road.
