DENIS Betts said his main selection dilemma for Sunday’s Challenge Cup semi final against Castleford Tigers comes in the front row.

Ireland international prop Eamon O’Carroll is back in the Vikings mix, returning in the weekend’s win against Hull Kingston Rovers after missing the majority of the season with a shoulder complaint.

And Phil Joseph was recalled against the Robins too, with Hep Cahill switching to loose forward.

The rested Alex Gerrard and Scotland international Ben Kavanagh complete the competition for places, while MacGraff Leuluai is also available after missing out at the weekend.

Betts, looking to guide Vikings to their first appearance in the final since 1993, said: “My biggest problem is in the front row. Alex Gerrard will come back into the side after being put out to give him a little bit of a break. Everybody else is fighting for the other front row spots.”

He added: “Those players missing against Hull KR are in contention.

Where I feel I need to pull people in and out, that’s what we’ll do.

“I don’t think any of our outside backs did themselves any harm on Sunday. They played pretty well.”

Castleford Tigers are bidding to reach Wembley for the first time since 1992.

Head coach Daryl Powell has lost the services of try machine winger Justin Carney and footballing back rower Weller Hauraki after appointments with the disciplinary committee on Tuesday.
