WIDNES Vikings CEO James Rule has joined the board of directors at the club and become a part-owner, alongside Steve O'Connor, Roddy Snedden, Brian O'Connor and Matt Beech.
James Rule commented: "My first impressions of the Vikings were very, very positive. At the end of my first year in the role, I have been delighted with the progress we have made both on and off the field of play. All of the ingredients are in place for us to continue the growth and evolution of the Club that we are all so passionate about.
"We have a loyal, passionate and growing fan-base. We have built some exceptional public and private sector partnerships, and we have a playing squad that has made significant improvement this year, with an ideal blend of local young talent and experience.
"We have a dedicated and committed staff in both the Performance and Administration department, who have a phenomenal work ethic and desire to improve our Club. It is a privilege to work alongside them.
"When Steve (O'Connor) proposed me taking an ownership stake, I didn't hesitate. I believe we have huge potential and I am excited about playing a part in the realisation of that potential."
