Three tries and seven goals from outstanding stand off Scott Yates saw WIDNES ST MARIES triumphant 58-6 at ROOSE PIONEERS.

He scored at the beginning of both halves and just before the break in a dominant display, Craig Callimore and Danny Sharples with tries putting Maries 22-0 ahead by the half hour.

Pioneers’ sole score came in the 38th minute to Joel Williams, Adam Batty adding the extras. Lee Birdseye with a brace, winger Sharples completing a treble, Adam Prendegast and Craig Laughton all crossed for the visitors in a comprehensive 11-try haul.
