West Bank Bears U'13s 34 Eccles West Bank 6.
Bears continued the winning form shown last week with a fantastic display at Home to Eccles in the NW Counties Development cup.
With points scored by Lee Dyas, Scott Curphey, Kieran Owens and Jack McDonald the Bears dominated with a strong first half display.The visitors came back hard in the second half and but for some strong tackling from Lee Dyas, George Timms, Nathan Filkins and Conner Brittle the final score could have been closer.
Man of the match was Ryan Leicester for fantastic all round ability and supporting every Bears charge at the Eccles Scoring zone.
West Bank under 10 48 Westhoughton Lions 18.
This was a brilliant team performance from the lads where some of the rugby on show was the best we have seen from them. Some of the trys were outstanding with every player playing his part.
Tryscorers were Harrison Smith 3, Jonathan Bennison 3, Lewis Hughes 2, Jay swindley, Logan Milne and Sam Haynes.
The awards went to Logan Milne and Lewis Hughes - coaches award; the top tackler award was shared between Harrison Smith and Jonathan Bennison. The opposition man of the match went to Jay Swindley. Keep up the good worklads.
Westhoughton Lions U'8s 4 West Bank Bears 20.
The first game of the season saw a fantastic performance from the Bears in freezing conditions. West Bank dominated the game from the kick off with an excellent full lenght try from Luke Mullarkey.
The Lions could not break a solid Bank defence.
Travis McDonnell made an outstanding break to score and then Mullarkey followed up with a further three tries and received the Man of the Match award.
Issabella Halieh received the coaches award. For an excellent all round game Mackenzie Middleton was Top Tackler.
