Widnes West Bank 12 v 20 Normanton Knights
3:47pm Tuesday 12th March 2013 in Sport
After an amazing backs to the wall win last week the Bears were in confident mood for the visit of Normanton. West Bank were boosted by the inclusion of former Vikings flyer Alex Brown.
Normanton were first on the score board and when the Bears were on the end of a harsh sending off after just 20 minutes the omens didn't look good.
However West bank came storming back with a well worked touchdown for Ryan Millington. Tommy Arrowsmith converted for a 6 apiece half time score.
Jack White continued his run of good form latching on to a Millington pass for the home team to take the lead. Danny Yates had a try disallowed which would have taken the Bears clear.
The effort of playing most of the game a man down started to take its toll and the Knights started to pick a way through the tiring defence the score two late tries and take the game.
