A poor first half showing ultimately proved costly for the visitors as they slipped to a third defeat in four games, and now drop to sixth spot in North One West.
Lee McDermott’s side were completely out of sorts in the first half as they conceded two tries, a conversion and two penalties to trail 18 – 3 at half time.
They upped their game in the second half and replied with two tries from Jonny Lowe and Matty Smith who also added both conversions and a penalty. In between though, three further penalties from the trusty boot of Bob MacCallum made sure of the points for the home side.
