Mick Cassidy joins rugby legends in the boxing ring

VIKINGS assistant coach Mick Cassidy is one of eight former rugby league legends who will take to the boxing ring to compete for the title of ‘Rugby League Fight Champion 2013’ on Wednesday 27 February at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton.

Cassidy will join Paul Sculthorpe, Leeds legend Keith Senior, Timmy Street Alan Hunte, boxing regular and former Hull captain Lee Radford in fighting it out for the grand prize of £10,000.

The fighters will be drawn at random in a Prizefighter concept and will face three matches to win the money and be crowned ‘Rugby League Fight Champion 2013’ – the hardest in rugby league.

The evening will be raising money for Joining Jack, a charity dedicated to funding research and development for Duchenne Muscular Disorder (DMD).

Tickets can be purchased from www.ruggerinthering.com and start at £20, with a gold option at £35 and then VIP ringside at £75. The VIP tickets also give access to a pre & post VIP party.
