BIG-HEARTED residents and businesses teamed up to help needy families.
Halton Council’s social care staff, employees at Preston Brook’s 02 call centre, customers at DW Sports in Widnes and All Saints girl guides in Runcorn collected toys, toiletries, food and chocolates.
Their gifts were given to local families who face severe financial hardship, who could not afford presents.
Clr John Swain, board memebr for children and young people, said: “Halton Council would like to say a massive thank you to everyone for their generous donations.”
