New regulations will clamp down on dog fouling in Halton

A CRACKDOWN on irresponsible dog owners comes into force next month.

New regulations means dogs will be banned from certain areas in Halton or required to be kept on a lead.

It follows more than 4,000 complaints to Halton Council last year about problems such as fouling and strays.

Clr Stef Nelson, board member for the environment, said: “Sadly, a small minority of people are putting the safety and health of Halton residents at risk and spoiling the environment for everyone else.

“We had to take action to ensure all our open spaces are a safe and clean environment.”

When you check out newspapers from 25 years ago, dogs and their selfish, lazy owners were a big issue even then.
Halton BC's respones was to employ ONE dog warden for many, many years.
They always seem to have about ten 'gardeners' planting flowers in the roundabouts near McDonalds.
Listen to the people HBC - stop fighting us!
