Musical evening supports African orphans

A CHARITY event is being held in Widnes is aid of African orphans Esteemed musician and hymn writer, John Bell, presents ‘Something New for God’, an evening of songs and stories on Monday, November 5, at 7.30pm, at St Basil and All Saints Church, Hough Green Road.
John, of the Iona Community is an ordained minister of the Church of Scotland and travels all over the world leading workshops.
All proceeds will go to Gift of Life for Zambia, a project which supports 2,500 terminally ill patients, their families and 900 orphans at St Francis Centre, Livingstone, Zambia.
Hough Green Arts Group has donated £120,000 since their fundraising started in 1999.
