Grandpa Joe Grandpa Joe

CULT social media superstar ‘Grandpa Joe’ presents his unique spooky stories at Runcorn’s Halton Lea Library, on Friday, October 26, from 2pm to 3pm.

The event is free and suitable for children aged five to 14.

Carl Loughlin, aged 30, a library manager in the Wirral, started making YouTube videos, after having acting lessons.

He said: “I started doing Grandpa Joe storytimes which went down really well as they are interactive.

“The kids just really love it and the whole aim is toget them into reading and enjoying books.

“The head of CBBC loved my videos and encouraged me to do more.

“Grandpa Joe is auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent 2013 and I’m in talks with a TV producer about making a TV book show for kids using my character.”
