Pip's bright eyes win award

The Mayoress of Halton, Clr Angela McInerney, presents Alex Carter Carter and his dog, Pip, with a prize for having the brightest eyes
A DOG show in Runcorn has been hailed a success.
It was the first of a range of special events at Murdishaw Community Centre in Barnfield Avenue.
Free dog microchipping was available and neutering vouchers were distributed.
Animal lovers were invited to enter their pups into a contest.
Alex Carter’s dog, Pip, won a prize for having the brightest eyes.
Other highlights incouded hoopla, a scarecrow competition, owls and a tombola.
