A REWARD is being offered after £10,000 worth of computer equipment was stolen from a Widnes business.

Thieves broke into Renard Systems in Waterloo Road earlier this year.

Police have been carrying out extensive enquiries in relation to the incident including CCTV enquiries and forensic enquiries.

A reward of £1,000 is now being offered by the company for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible and the recovery of any of the stolen property.

Police have issued this CCTV image taken during the burglary.

PC Gary Ellison, of Widnes Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: "Numerous enquiries have been carried out by local officers in relation to this incident and we are urging anyone who has any information, which might assist with our enquiries, to come forward. “We are also appealing to anyone who knows the identity of whoever is responsible to contact us.

“Likewise, if anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts of the stolen items then we would encourage them to pass on this information."

The break-in happened between 9.25pm on April 1 and 8.20am on 2April 2.
