CASH to help improve Halton’s health is up for grabs.

A health funding event is being held to give voluntary and community groups that deliver health related projects the chance to bid for funds.

It takes place at Runcorn Town Hall, Heath Road, on Tuesday, October 16, from 4pm to 6.30pm.

The idea is to give groups who strive to improve the health and wellbeing of local residents, an opportunity to find out about the availablity of various grants.

Halton Council’s external funding and community and sports development teams will be on hand to offer help, support and information.

Various funders including Big Lottery Fund, John Moores Foundation and Lloyds TSB Foundation, will be there.

Groups can drop in but must register in advance by e-mailing sara.wilson@halton.gov.uk or call 0151 511 8863 with the name of your organisation and details of your health-related project.
