A CAR was deliberately torched outside a house in Runcorn.
Police officers today appealed for information following an arson attack in The Uplands, Palacefields.
Firefighters discovered a car well alight at around 9.50pm on Monday, October 1.
DC Alison Howarth, said: "Fortunately no-one was injured as a result of the incident but it could have potentially been far worse had the fire not been put out so quickly.
"We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, has any information, which might assist with our enquiries, or knows who is responsible to come forward.”
Officers are following up a number of lines of enquiry as well as making house to house enquiries.
They are checking CCTV footage and making forensic investigations.
