A NEW ITV drama on the lives of girlfriends and wives of soldiers serving in Afghanistan includes scenes filmed in Widnes.
The first episode of Homefront goes on air at 9pm on Thursday.
Homes in Avondale Close, Upton, will feature heavily during the six-part series that stars Claire Skinner, Greg Wise, George Costigan, Nicola Stephenson, Antonia Thomas and Warren Brown.
The filming has raised £2.045 for Halton Haven Hospice as ITV contributed £200 for every day of filming to Halton Housing Trust’s nominated charity.
Anna Lambert, trust communications manager, said: “I’d like to thank all the residents of Avondale Close. They really welcomed the ITV crew to the street and into their homes.”
