PEOPLE from all over the world became British citizens at a ceremony in Runcorn Town Hall.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Halton, Clrs Tom and Angela McInerney, welcomed 13 new citizens to the borough last Wednesday.
They came from Tonga, Jamaica, China, Philippines, Albania, Dominican Republic and Denmark.
Their family and friends joined them for the historic occasion.
Each new citizen affirmed their oath to the Queen.
This was followed by the National Anthem and then they were each presented with citizenship certificates.
Citizenship ceremonies are held in Halton on the second Wednesday of every month.
