Science lectures tackle fascinating subjects in Daresbury

SCIENCE is being brought to life in a series of fascinating lectures at Daresbury Laboratory.

From superhumans to superheroes, dinosaurs to dragons, there is something for all the family.

Professor Susan Smith, head of Daresbury Laboratory, said: “We are so excited about this year’s programme of lectures that will really bring science to life and show how science touches everything in our lives, from the food we eat to the cars we drive. “The year marks the 50th anniversary of Daresbury Laboratory so we are eager show how fantastic and varied a career in the world of science can be.”

Fun-filled half term talks, include a science circus show and a talk on the science of superheroes, both of which will be held twice, in the day and evening.

Lectures are free but booking is essential as space is limited.

Bookings are now open for the first talk on September 28, on the Large Hadron Collider, the world’s largest science experiment, big science, bangs and black holes.
