Widnes shopkeeper threatened at knife point

A KNIFE-WIELDING robber has threatened a shopkeeper in Widnes.
The masked man burst into PGS Stores in Peel House Lane, Farnworth, and demanded he open the till.
The offender then grabbed cash and fled. Nothing else was stolen.
The 55-year-old victim was not hurt.
The police today appealed for witnesses to the robbery which happened on Saturday, September 15, at 9.39pm.
The offender is described as white, in his late teens to early 20s, and of slim build. He was wearing a grey hooded waterproof jacket with the hood up covering his face and head and dark coloured trousers.
