PATIENTS are invited to vote for hospital staff who have made a difference to their lives.
St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs Whiston and St Helens hospitals, is giving Halton residents the chance to say thank you to someone who has helped them through difficult times.
The winners will be presented with an NHS Heroes certificate, signed by David Nicholson, chief executive of the NHS.
Your NHS hero could be anyone who works or volunteers, from staff who keep the wards clean, make you a cup of tea or hold your hand when you need it, to those who give care and provide treatment.
You can nominate your hero online at www.nhsheroes.com before Friday, September 21.
