SAVE lives and give blood is the message as a busy summer of sport comes to a close.
NHS Blood and Transplant is reminding blood donors and those thinking about giving blood for the first time to donate to continue to keep stocks healthy.
Barbara Blanche, lead donor relations manager for NHSBT, said: “We are so grateful to all the donors who helped us over a very busy summer.
“Now we need people to keep giving, or come and donate for the first time, so that we can ensure that stocks remain at a health levels.
“With every donation potentially saving three lives, you really can make an amazing contribution by giving blood.”
A blood donor session will be held at The Foundry, Lugsdale Road, Widnes, on Thursday, September 20, from 10.30am-12.30pm and 2.30pm-4.30pm.
