ENERGETIC children mastered soccer tips at a fun-filled summer session.
Pupils at Brookvale Nursery in Woodhatch Road, Runcorn, picked up some new skills from football coach Matt Jordan.
Nursery manager Gill Berry said: “We held various play events during the summer including football coaching, mini Olympics and a Jubilee garden party.
“We are keen to encourage our children to engage in physical activity using the outdoor environment.
“Sedentary lifestyles and inactivity can have a detrimental effect on health, educational outcomes and future life chances.”
Staff recently visited a forest school in Delamere to gain an insight into outdoor teaching environments.
They plan to develop more opportunities for pupils to experience more outdoor activities in the future.
