RUNNERS are raising money for Halton Haven by competing in the English Half Mararathon in Warrington on Sunday.

A team from Halton Housing Trust hopes to reach their target of £2,000.

Chief executive Nick Atkin, one of the six runners taking part, said: “Our nominated charity, Halton Haven Hospice, delivers some fantastic work that has such a huge impact upon the lives of thousands of local people.

“We would urge as many people as possible to support us by pledging money to make all the pain and blisters worthwhile.”
