Appeal to find driver after cat loses leg after hit and run
6:20pm Tuesday 4th September 2012 in News By Barbara Jordan
A PEDIGREE cat injured in a hit and run has had to have its leg amputated.
Palin, a Turkish van breed, suffered a dislocated hip and broken leg in an accident in Runcorn, on Friday.
His owner, Scott Hones, aged 50, of Weston Point, said: “I got home from work and started calling him.
“He heard my voice and managed to crawl in on two legs.
“He has been hit by a vehicle. I’m trying to find the driver. I don’t want to have a go at them, just claim off their insurance for the cost of making him better.
“I’m looking for witnesses who would be kind enough to contact me.”
Scott, who is a driver, believes the accident may have happened in Russell Road, Lancaster Road or the Sandy Lane area.
Scott and his partner, Julie Hamboin, aged 52, only started work a month ago.
If you saw the accident or have any information, please call Scott on 07969 283261.
