Discover the industrial past of Halton on a guided walk
2:33pm Tuesday 28th August 2012 in News By Barbara Jordan
A GUIDED walk through Halton’s heritage is being held next month.
Canals, Cows and Tanneries will take you back to the industrial past of the Upper Mersey esturary.
You will find out how traditional and rare breeds of cattle are being used to manage salt marsh communities.
There will be some rough terrain and walking involved so people are advised to wear suitable clothing.
The event takes place on Thursday, September 6.
Booking is essential.
Walkers will assemble at the Catalyst Museum car park in Mersey Road, West Bank, at 4pm.
