Creamfields site affected by heavy flooding

CREAMFIELDS ticketholders for today's performers have been told not to turn up at the site.

Organisers tweeted fans to say the site was closed due to adverse weather conditions following continuous heavy rain throughout the night.

Cheshire Police say those already there should make suitable arrangements to leave the site and extra public transport will be laid on.

There have been no serious casualties but police say they are in the process of setting up alternative exits.

Police think its necessary to issue warnings and WG back it up with photographs what could have been taken at the most normal of pop festivals. Look, its summer, it rained its in a field with a lot of people....ITS GOING TO GET VERY MUDDY.
