STUDENTS at The Heath school in Runcorn have helped the school receive its best GCSE results.

The results announced on Thursday saw 66 per cent achieve five A to C passes including English and maths.

While the school, a specialist science academy, did especially impressive in science with more than 60 students taking three separate sciences and 40 per cent achieving an A* or A.

Overall 91 per cent of the 207 students achieved two GCSEs in science .
