THREE men have been hitting homes in Runcorn claiming they are working for Halton Haven Hospice Lottery.
They have been asking for people to join and for their bank details.
Tina Robinson, lottery manager at Halton Haven, said:” We are concerned about this situation in which people are being approached falsely representing the hospice.
“Our official lottery Collectors have ID badges and would not ask for bank details to be disclosed.”
“We urge the community to stay vigilant.
“The hospice lottery raises vital funds for us to continue providing our special kind of caring. We do not want this to affect our fundraising efforts.”
Anyone with any information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 380.
