A DELIVERY driver was attacked and his goods stolen in a robbery in Widnes.

Police say the 32-year-old driver was attacked when he was parked up on Drummond Court on Wednesday at 1.30pm.

Three men stormed the van, one threatening him while the others stole items including new laptops, mobile phones and tablet computers.

The offenders escaped in the direction of Houghton Street.

The victim suffered minor facial injuries.

The first man is white with a stocky, athletic build. He was wearing a grey jogging suit with a hooded top and spoke with a local accent.

The second man is white with a proportionate build, short straight black hair and short stubble. He was wearing a dark coloured outdoor jacket which had a hood, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

The third man is also white and was wearing a black North Face jacket with black trousers and black trainers.
