Free fishing tuition given to families at Runcorn's Phoenix Park

FAMILIES were able to try their hand at fishing in Runcorn.
A free taster day was held at the lake in Phoenix Park.
All the tackle and was provided with experts on hand to offer tuition.
Mums, dads and carers enjoyed the event on Monday.
Under fives were able to have a go at pond dipping.
Mo Ball, Halton Council’s early help officer, said: “Angling engages young people in community activity, such as keeping the local pond, river or canal free of litter.
“It also develops their self confidence and encourages positive behaviour and relationships.”
