HALTON is full of hidden gems, says Karen Ripley.
She lives near the famous Silver Jubilee Bridge and is keen to encourage people to explore the borough.
Karen, aged 40, a learning and development specialist at 02 in Preston, has become an ambassador for her company.
It is part of a new programme to forge closer links with the community.
02 staff are sharing best practice, workshops and buddying with businesses.
Karen has discovered lots of fascinating places to visit after teaming up with Halton Council’s leisure services.
Karen, of Collier Street, said: “I’ve always loved living here but this has really opened my eyes.
“Runcorn is an amazing place. I’ve been walking down the canal and found amazing history.
“Norton Priory is gorgeous.
“We’ve got 1,500 people working at 02.
“This gives me a chance to tell them all about these lovely places. It’s a good way of boosting numbers for places like The Brindley and Catalyst Museum.”
