Fun-filled event hopes to bring the community together

A FREE summer fun event is being held on Saturday, August 11, from 12 noon to 4pm.

West Runcorn Fun Fest takes place at West Runcorn Youth Club in Russell Road.

Highlights include a climbing wall, racing car simulator, birds of prey, tug of war, inflatables and a barbecue.

Syd Broxton, club chairman, said: “The youth club is looking forward to welcoming member sof hte community to Fun Fest.

“It will be a fantastic day out.

“The aim is to bring together local residents and yuong people to encourage community cohesion and to celebrate young people’s achievements.”

Halton Community Music will provide the music.

Halton’s Mayor and Mayroess, Clrs Tom McInerney and his wife, Angela, will be special guests.
