A DREAM is coming true for two enthusiastic young entrepreneurs.

Rosanna Marr, aged 22, and her 24-year-old sister, Amy, have started their own jewellery business.

They hope their fashion accessory stall will entice more customers into Widnes Market.

Rosanna, of Birchfield Road, Widnes, said: “We have always dreamt of having our own business and working together.

“We thought we’d have to save up a lot of money to do it.

“We’ve been surprised how easy it is to start a market stall.

“Everyone is so friendly here. This market has loads of great things.”

Amy, a teaching assistant, quit her job and launched K5 Accessories two weeks ago, after completing a Halton Council business s course and receiving a £500 start-up grant.

Rosanna, who leaves her online marketing job next week, said: “It is really scary. We were worried at first but I am keen to develop my marketing skills.

“It’s more passionate when it’s your own business.

“We are young and know what people are looking for.

“We will stock good quality jewellery that people can only get on the Internet or pay a lot more money for in chain stores.”

Their dad Edward, a 55-year-old RE teacher, and mum, Alice, aged 57, have given them every support.

Rosanna said: “They were worried at first if it goes wrong and our dreams failed, but they have been so helpful.

“We couldn’t have done it without them.

“We hope to move to a shop, add more lines, clothes and shoes and encourage more independent stores to set up in Widnes.”
