Victim, 18, faces further dental treatment after vicious robbery

A TEENAGER had his front teeth knocked out in a savage robbery.

The 18-year-old was walking past a subway near Camrose Close in Runcorn with two friends when they were suddenly mugged by three men.

They were all forced to empty their pockets and one of the victims was kneed in the face.

The offenders stole a mobile phone and fled, running across the busway towards Halton Lodge.

DC Mark Naylor, who is investigating the incident, said: "This was a completely unprovoked attack, which left one of the victims with significant facial injuries. He had both of his front teeth knocked out.

"The victim attended hospital for treatment before being discharged but will need further treatment.

"Our enquiries are continuing and we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or spotted 3 males acting suspiciously in the area between Halton Lodge shops and the subway between 3.30pm and 4.30pm to contact us."

The incident took place on Friday, February 10 but was only reported to the police two days later.

The first offender is described as white, in his late teens, of slim build and approximately 5ft 8ins tall. He was wearing a black outdoor style waterproof jacket, a black Berghaus neck warmer and black tracksuit bottoms.

The second offender is described as around 6′ 2" tall, of stocky build, and was wearing a black tracksuit and old black Nike trainers.

The third offender is described as around 5′ 11" tall, and was wearing a black tracksuit.
