Cinderella proves biggest hit at The Brindley

PANTO sales at The Brindley in Runcorn have hit a new record.

More than 14,600 seats were sold for Cinderella, starring former Brookside stars Sarah White and Philip Olivier.

That’s more than a capacity crowd at a Widnes Vikings game at Stobart Stadium.

Cllr Phil Harris, board member for the arts, said: "People reported a really good panto experience.

“There were new songs, spectacular costume and scenery and we had so many positive comments. It showed people are keener than ever to enjoy good family entertainmnent."

Sales are up four per cent on last year with an extra 622 tickets being purchased.

The panto ran for a month.

Emma Robert-Simms played Cinderella and Star of Hollyoaks and Shameless, Joe Standerline, was an ugly sister.

Gems TV presenter Scott Worsfold is the other panto dame Prince Charming was Nick Langmead, a 22-year-old LIPA graduate.
