EXCITED children discovered secrets of the universe at a hands-on fun-filled workshop.
Scientists from Starlab, Daresbury’s own mobile planetarium, visited St Mary’s CE Primary School in Castlefields, Runcorn, and helped pupils launch theri own homemade rocket.
Teacher Jackie Perry said: “Children from year five enjoyed learning and researching about the earth, moon and space.
“Following an interesting workshop in Starlab, they made their own version of a space rocket.”
The Starlab is based at the top of Daresbury Laboratory’s landmark tower.
