RUNCORN MP Graham Evans has been named the most active new MP in a league table compiled by the independent House of Commons library.
The survey ranks all 227 new MPs by the number of parliamentary questions they have asked.
Since being elected in May, Mr Evans has asked 353 questions, 124 more than any other newly elected MP.
Mr Evans, said: “I campaigned on the promise that I would work hard to get things done and I have tried my best to hit the ground running since being elected.
“I am determined to be a strong local voice for our part of Cheshire and am doing all I can to speak up for the area in parliament.”
Conservative Mr Graham, who took over from Labour’s Mike Hall, says he has also spent as much time as possible in his Weaver Vale constituency.
