A BRIDE-TO-BE was given a lift she didn’t expect just days before her wedding.
Karen Goss, a teaching assistant, was hoisted high into the air by strongman Dave Gauder.
“It was a complete shock,” said Karen, aged 41, who works at St Mary’s Halton CE Primary School in Castlefields, Runcorn.
“Each class had made me a card and drew absolutely gorgeous pictures.
“They asked Dave if he would lift me up.
“It was such a surprise, my face says it all but it was really good fun.
“I don’t think many people can say they’ve been lifted up into the air by one of the world’s strongest men.”
Karen, who lives in Halton Village, married partner Oliver Pearson, aged 39, at Port Merrion in May, They have been together for 22 years and have three children, aged 17, 14 and 10.
Dave Gauder visited the school to warn children of the dangers of being involved in gun, gang and knife crime.
