Charity collects unwanted computers in Widnes

COULD you afford a computer if it cost three times your salary?

For people living in the Third World, IT equipment is a luxury.

Computers 4 Africa aims to help African students reach their full potentuial by providing tools and training that will make education easily accessible and relevant.

The charity will be collecting any spare IT equipment you no longer need but is still in working order.

Donations can be left at the former Focus DIY store, Bowers Retail Park, Earle Road, Widnes, on Tuesday and Wednesday, from 8am to 6pm.

Most of the time these computers are sold to Nigerians by Nigerians over here by the container-load for vast profits. Not much charity going on. Leave out your hard drives or drill through them or you could become another victim of the many scams originating in Africa and especially Nigeria. If you don't your identity could be stolen and your bank account emptied follwed by months, if not years, of trying to put things right. If you turn up and these guys are Nigerian, I strongly suggest you turn around and go home. BE WARNED!!!!!!!
