SPECIAL celebrations are being held on Saturday to mark the first birthday of Halton Haven’s furniture charity shop in Widnes.
Halton Community Radio will be broadcating from the store live on Saturday.
Mel Ellis, store manager, said: “The success has been overwhelming in our first year.
“We’re really pleased to have got through a recession and are still going strong.
“We have a fantastic team of staff and volunteers. There’s a great buzz at the shop and things are always moving fast.”
The store in Widnes Road sells furniture, three piece suites, electrical applicances, clothes, toys and various other items.
The hospice offers a free collection service for donated goods and can deliver for a small charge.
The shop is open from 9am to 4pm on Saturday.
