FREE champagne will be offered to customers to celebrate the opening of the new Marks and Spencer store in Widnes tomorrow, bringing 100 jobs to the town.
Shoppers will also have the chance to win a share of £1,000 worth of M&S gift cards.
The 33,253 sq ft store opens at 10am.
Matt Sheppard, Widnes M&S store manager, said: “We’re delighted to be opening a new store in the new Widnes Shopping Park, providing local shoppers with the very best choice of fashion and homeware.”
A full programme of entertainment is planned throughout the opening weekend.
An in-store chef will be carrying out cookery demonstrations.
A fashion stylist and personal shoppers will be on hand.
Face painting will be available for children on Saturday.
The three-storey shop includes an 80-seat cafe, eco-friendly toilets and a food department.
Cycle racks have been installed to encourage staff to cycle to work.
