Teenage boy assaulted by vicious robbers in Runcorn

A TEENAGE boy was attacked by a gang in a vicious assault.

The 17-year-old was walking along a footpath from Halton Lea shopping centre towards Main Street, when a group of men jumped on his back and forced him to the ground.

He was held down by one, whilst four others kicked and punched his head and body.

They stole his Sony Erikson C903 slide phone and ran off towards Halton Brow.

Two of the attackers were aged 16, 5ft 7ins, of thin build, wearing black hooded tops with black neck warmers covering their faces.

A third robber was 6ft 2ubs to 6ft 3ins, dressed in black wiht Nike trainers with a tick on one side.

The incident happened near the grass beside the British Legion in Main Street, Halton Village, at 10.15pm last Wednesday.
