Runcorn sunday cup - round 1 Bridge Timber F.C. 6 Quayside F.C. 0 Bridge were staright off the blocks to attack quayside and after 5 minutes Bridge were 1 up after Wes Farringtons pass put Liam Sweeney clean through, his first touch set himself up and he smashed the ball inside the near post for his 1st of the season. 9 minutes in and Ricky Thompson whipped in a free kick that narrowly flashed wide before Quayside had a long range effort in the 22nd minute in which Timber keeper Chris Thompson safely watched go wide.

Timbers 2nd came just before half time after David Sheaky shot goalwards only to see his shot blocked, picking up the loose ball he ghosted past a defender and pulled the ball back for Liam Sweeney to stab the ball home from 8 yards to give Timber a 2-0 half time lead.

Ricky Thompson wreaked havoc straight form the whistle and after creating space down the right, squared to Liam sweeney who hammered the ball underneath the cross bar to give the keeper no chance for 3-0 and a well deserved hat trick.

On the hour mark Lewis Watsons accurate cross was skillfully side footed home by Ray Mcdonald for 4-0 before Mcdonald cheekily tried a 40 yarder which unluckily skimmed off the top of the crossbar. Jordan Neary brought a great save from the Quayside keeper after being put in by Sweeney before Mcdonald made it 5 with a close range effort after good work from Lee Parry. Jordan Neary went on a rampaging run down the right before crossing for Mcdonald to poked home to claim his hat trick. Lewis Watson was awarded man of the match from the Quayside manager Ray Braithwaite.
