Networking event at Stobart Stadium offers free information about funding

VOLUNTARY organisations can get help and advice from more than 60 different stalls at The Stobart Stadium, Halton this month.

On Tuesday, November 17 between 9.30am and 12.30pm, members of voluntary and community groups can find out about funding, information, advice, support, partnerships, volunteering, how to use the media, what is happening in Halton and more at the free event.

Clr Steff Nelson, executive member for the voluntary sector, pictured above, said: “The voluntary sector plays a crucial role in delivering public services and in building strong, cohesive communities.

“There is no need to book – just come along.”

Small community and voluntary groups are invited to attend the event, whether their work is focused on sports, arts, community or the environment.

Funding informations stands will include Halton Borough Council’s sports development and arts development, Grassroots Grants, housing sssociations, youth funding, community development grants and bursaries.

There will also be information and guidance on the Landfill Communities Fund and Lottery Funding, including Awards for All.
