Bridge Timber F.C. 3 Reos F.C. 0 Bridge gained a valuable 3-0 win against a very good Reo's team. Ex Reos star Lee Parry had a great header just over the bar after Ricky Thompson delivered his free kick with accuracy. 15 minutes in Wes Farrington rifled in a venomous 25 yarder in which the keeper dived full stretch but couldnt get near it to give Timber the lead they deserved. Bridge played some neat football with Lewis Watson, Dave Sheakey, and Lee Parry instrumental in there play to give Bridge a deserved 1-0 lead at the break. Captain Lee Evans cleared the ball from under the bar early in the 2nd half and soon after Chris Thompson was called into action when Reo's created their best chance when Marc Radleigh was clean through on goal, his shot was gathered cleanly to keep it at 1-0. Timbers defence of Karl Jenkins,Peter Murphy,Robbie Davis and Lee Evans were all in superb form to keep Si Burton and Kevin Towey at bay and with 25 minutes to go, Alan Bond and Liam Sweeney were brought into the action and were soon 2-0 up after Lee Evans cleared the ball after a reos attack to Sweeney, who crossed to Ray Mcdonald who had tormented Reos all game his goalswards shot was followed home by Alan Bond who scrambled the ball over the line just beofre Reos could clear it.In the 80th minute Bridge made it 3-0 after Dave Sheakey put Bond through on goal, after taking the ball around the keeper and being fouled he managed to stay on his feet, he was forced wide but skillfully found the net to wrap it up for Bridge from a tight angle . Chris Thompson had to save well in injury time but over all Bridge were the better team and deserved their victory. Ricky Thompson was awarded the man of the match award
