A FAMILY was shocked to hear a loud bang when they were in the garden of their Widnes home, police disclosed today.
They discovered a large arrow had been fired into their garden in Prescot Road, piercing the roof of their garage.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Fortunately, nobody was hurt in the incident.
“However, the consequences of such irresponsible behaviour could have potentially been far more serious and resulted in injury or damage.”
The arrow is approximately three foot in length.
The incident happened at around 9.30pm on Saturday, July 4.
