Occupants threatened by intruders at their home in Brindley Street

RESIDENTS were shocked to discover two intruders when they returned to their Runcorn home, police revealed today.

Startled, they were pushed into the living room of their house in Brindley Street by one burglar who demanded cash.

Another man who was upstairs ran out the front door.

Both offenders fled empty-handed in a dark coloured Vauxhall Vectra.

The first offender was white, around 25 years old, of plump build and around 5ft 8ins tall.

He was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt, a black zipped jacket and a dark coloured woollen hat.

The second man was of similar age and height, of average build, with dark hair.

As he was leaving the house, he shouted: ‘Come on, Ste’.

The burglary happened at 4pm on Monday, July 6.
