Fancy dress fun at Trewan House in Ditchfield Road raises £400 for Marie Curie

ALICE in Wonderland appeared at a charity event in Widnes.

Joanne Nimmo dressed up as the famous Lewis Carroll character as staff hosted a Blooming Great Tea Party for Marie Curie at Trewan House residential home.

Activities co-ordinator Tracey Naughton said: “With lots of help from all the staff, friends and families of the residents, we raised £400.

“This could not have gone ahead without all their kind donations.”

Cheryl Doyle, another member of staff, dressed up as a bunny to help create a fun-filled atmosphere.

Hand made bracelets, homemade cakes and cards created by residents helped to boost proceeds.

More than 40 staff look after 40 residents at the family run home in Ditchfield Road.
